Dabeli is a popular street food from Gujarat, known for its unique blend of sweet, spicy, and tangy flavors. It consists of a spiced potato filling stuffed into soft pav (buns) and garnished with roasted peanuts, sev, pomegranate seeds, and chutneys. This quick and flavorful snack is perfect for satisfying your cravings.
Heat oil in a pan, add dabeli masala, and cook briefly. Add mashed potatoes, tamarind pulp, salt, and water. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Slit the pav buns and spread sweet tamarind chutney on one side and green chutney on the other. Stuff with the prepared potato filling, chopped onions, roasted peanuts, and pomegranate seeds.
Close the stuffed pav, toast lightly with butter on a hot pan, and roll the sides in sev for crunch.
Serve warm with extra chutneys for dipping.
